An accessible 24/7 online platform for citizens to lodge, track, and appeal public complaints.
The Ministry of Culture, Government of India, is committed to ensuring transparency, accountability, and citizen-centric service delivery. To facilitate prompt redressal of public grievances, the Ministry leverages the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) — a unified, 24x7 online platform enabling citizens to lodge complaints related to service delivery across all ministries and departments of the Government of India and states.
CPGRAMS provides a seamless and structured mechanism with role-based access for every participating department. Citizens can conveniently access the portal through the official CPGRAMS website, the standalone mobile app available on Google Play Store, or via the UMANG application.
How to Track a Grievance
Upon successful registration of a complaint on CPGRAMS, a unique registration ID is issued to the complainant. This ID can be used to track the status of the grievance at any time. If the complainant is not satisfied with the resolution provided by the designated grievance officer, they may:
- Submit feedback after the closure of the grievance.
- Rate the resolution; a ‘Poor’ rating will activate the option to file an appeal.
- Track the status of the appeal using the same registration number.
Issues Not Covered Under CPGRAMS
Please note that CPGRAMS does not entertain grievances related to the following:
- RTI (Right to Information) matters
- Court-related or sub judice matters
- Religious matters
- Suggestions and opinions
- Service matters of Government employees (unless prescribed departmental channels have been exhausted, in accordance with DoPT OM No. 11013/08/2013-Estt.(A-III), dated 3 1.08.2015)
Important Note
In case your grievance pertains to ministries/departments and organisations under the purview of the Directorate of Public Grievances (DPG), Cabinet Secretariat, and you have not received satisfactory redressal within a reasonable timeframe, you may escalate your case to DPG. No fee is charged by the government for filing grievances on CPGRAMS. Any amount paid by citizens is collected solely by M/s CSC (Common Services Centres) for assisted service facilitation.
