Introduction
The Right to Information Act, 2005, mandates a timely response to citizen requests for government information. Under the Act, every citizen is empowered to seek information from the government, inspect government documents, and request certified photocopies of such records.
Submission Information
Applications seeking information under the RTI Act, 2005, addressed to the Ministry of Culture, must be sent to the Central Public Information Officer (CPIO), clearly specifying the information sought from the records maintained by the Ministry.
The application must be accompanied by a fee of ₹10/- (Rupees Ten only), payable via Indian Postal Order (IPO)/Demand Draft/Banker’s Cheque drawn in favour of "Accounts Officer, Ministry of Culture", payable at New Delhi.
