Festival of India in Australia

‘Confluence – Festival of India in Australia’ will be inaugurated at Sydney Opera House, Sydney, on 18 September 2016 by Hon’ble Minister of Culture (I/C), Dr. Mahesh Sharma.

During the period of the Festival (September-November 2016), the following events will be staged in different cities of Australia, namely Adelaide, Alice Springs, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney:

  • Nrityagram – Odissi Dance Group from Bangalore
  • Bharatnatyam Dance Group from Kalakshetra Foundation, Chennai
  • Phung Cholo/Dhol Cholom by Sangeet Natak Akademi
  • Sonam Kalra’s Sufi Gospel
  • Dadi Padamji’s Ishara Puppet Theatre
  • Piya Behrupia – Translation of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night’ in Hindi
  • Literary Festival by Sahitya Akademi
  • Cricket Connect Exhibition by Nehru Science Centre Museum (NCSM)
