The Indian Museum, Kolkata is set to observe National Maritime Day with a special monthly exhibit titled "Vajra: The Royal Boat." This exhibit highlights India's rich maritime heritage through historical artifacts and insights.

As part of the event, an online talk, "Sailing Through Time: A Glimpse into India's Maritime Legacy," will be delivered by Prof. Vasant S. Shinde, an esteemed archaeologist and former Vice-Chancellor of Deccan College, Pune. A CSIR-Bhatnagar Fellow at CCMB-Hyderabad, Prof. Shinde will explore India's maritime traditions and historical seafaring practices.
