Bapu Tudu (Santali)
Bapi Tudu, born on June 28, 1998, in Kadamdiha, West Bengal, is an emerging Indian writer known for his contributions to Santali literature. With a Master’s degree in Santali and qualifications like the National Eligibility Test (NET) and West Bengal SET, he is proficient in Bengali, Hindi, and English. Tudu began his literary journey in 2019 and quickly made a mark with his debut collection Dusi, which earned him the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar in 2023.
His writing delves into the contemporary Santal society, offering powerful social commentary while evoking empathy and understanding in readers. Tudu’s unique style and rich use of language have established him as a promising voice, contributing to the growth and recognition of Santali literature.
