Dr. Kumar Jigeeshu
born on November 9, 1975, in Agra
Dr. Kumar Jigeeshu is a distinguished artist and academic in the field of applied arts. He holds a BFA and MFA in Applied Arts from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, and a Ph.D. from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra. Dr. Jigeeshu has earned numerous accolades, including the U.P. State Award (2002) and the 63rd National Award by Lalit Kala Akademi (2023). He has exhibited his works in prestigious national and international platforms and has participated in several art camps and workshops. Currently, Dr. Jigeeshu serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Art at the College of Art, New Delhi. He is also a dedicated researcher and guide, mentoring students in M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs.
