Kusum Pandey is a pioneering fine artist recognized as the first woman from her state to receive the prestigious Lalit Kala Akademi National Award. She established Rangeet Art Centre, Uttarakhand's first printmaking studio, to promote art and culture while providing local artists with opportunities for growth. With a Bachelor of Fine Art and a Master of Fine Art, she has showcased her works nationally and internationally, including at renowned exhibitions like the Bombay Art Society and the Sfumato International Art Exhibition in Italy. Kusum's art deeply reflects her connection to the Himalayan landscape and the lives of women, celebrating their integral role in preserving cultural traditions.
