Samarth Janve

Shri Samarth Janve was born on 23 May 1984 at Ajmer in Rajasthan. He received his initial training in Hindustani music from Shri Chauthmal Makhan and later groomed under the tutelage of Pandit Jasraj of Mewati Gharana. He has also received training in Tabla and Harmonium.
A recipient of the various scholarships including the Young Talent Scholarship from the Rajasthan Sangeet Natak Akademi; the Senior Scholarship, and the Junior Fellowship from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, Shri Samarth Janve has performed in numerous prestigious festivals across India like Shrimad Vallabhacharya Prakatya Utsav, Nathdwara; Phaag Utsav by Rajasthan Sangeet Natak Akademi; Omkarnath Thakur Sangeet Samaroh by Gujarat Sangeet Natak Akademi; Khumba Mahotsav by South Central Zone Cultural Centre; and Amrit Yuva Kalotsav by Sangeet Natak Akademi.
Shri Samarth Janve has received many titles and awards. These include the Sur Sangam Award conferred by the West Zone Cultural Centre, Udaipur (Rajasthan) in 2002; and the Yuva Puraskar bestowed by the Rajasthan Sangeet Natak Akademi in 2012–13.
Shri Samarth Janve is awarded the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar of Sangeet Natak Akademi for the year 2022 for his notable talent in the field of Hindustani vocal music.
