Sangeet Mishra
HINDUSTANI INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC – SARANGI
Shri Sangeet Mishra was born on 15 October 1983 at Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. He received his initial training in Sarangi from his father Shri Santosh Mishra, and later groomed under the tutelage of Shri Bhagwan Das Mishra and Shri Narayan Das Mishra.
Shri Sangeet Mishra has accompanied many eminent musicians and dancers in India and abroad. He has played in many Hindi films like Padmavat, Rais, Kagaj, Heeramandi and in the Hollywood film Saint Dracula apart from numerous Ad films. He has also played for OTT series Bandish Bandits Part I and II. He has conducted many workshops on Sarangi in India and abroad.
Shri Sangeet Mishra is awarded the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar of Sangeet Natak Akademi for the year 2022 for his notable talent in the field of Hindustani instrumental music – Sarangi.
