The Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) is organising a two-day National Symposium titled "Timeless Texts and Universal Teachings" on 30–31 July 2025 in New Delhi. This event commemorates the inscription of the Bhagavad Gita and Natyashastra into the UNESCO Memory of the World International Register, honouring their enduring global relevance. The inaugural session, to be held at Ambedkar International Centre, will feature Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Hon’ble Minister of Culture and Tourism, as Chief Guest.
The symposium will bring together scholars, cultural experts, and heritage professionals to explore the timeless wisdom and contemporary significance of these foundational Indian texts. The valedictory session, scheduled at Samvet Auditorium, IGNCA, will be graced by Shri Vivek Aggarwal, Secretary, Ministry of Culture, and other dignitaries. The symposium aims to reaffirm the Bhagavad Gita and Natyashastra as living repositories of Indian heritage and universal values.
