In a monumental step towards reclaiming India's cultural heritage, the United States has announced the return of over 1,400 antiquities, worth millions of dollars, to India. These artefacts, spanning centuries of history, were either stolen or illicitly trafficked. Among the returned treasures are a magnificent sandstone sculpture from Madhya Pradesh and the revered Tanesar mother goddess figure from Rajasthan.
