Students from the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Institute of Archaeology explored galleries at the Indian Museum, Kolkata, delving into India’s artistic and economic history.

They examined Buddhist relics, Bharhut Stupa remnants, and Greco-Roman influences in the Minor Art, Bharhut, and Gandhar Galleries. The Coin Gallery traced trade evolution from the 5th/4th Century BCE.

The Long Archaeology Gallery featured Indian sculpture and South-East Asian art, while the Egyptian Mummy provided insights into ancient burial practices.

The Decorative Art Gallery displayed ivory carvings, textiles, and Tibetan artifacts, and the Textile Gallery showcased Bengal Muslin. In the Painting Gallery, they admired masterpieces by Abanindranath Tagore, Nandalal Bose, and Jamini Roy.
